How our furniture & delivery service works.
Between full removals sits a constant stream of single-item jobs: the marketplace sofa three postcodes away, the washing machine for the rental, the dining table from a shop that doesn't deliver, the wardrobe going to your daughter's first flat. Our furniture delivery service exists exactly for these.
Unlike a courier, we don't stop at the kerb. Items are blanket-wrapped for transit, carried up the stairs they need to climb, and placed in the room — with two crew on the van whenever the item or the access demands it.
Buying remotely? We collect from sellers on your behalf, video-check the item with you before loading, and handle auction-house and store collections with the paperwork they require. Quotes from a photo, usually within the hour.

Can you collect something I bought on Facebook Marketplace or eBay?
All the time. Send the seller's postcode and the listing photos; we agree a collection window with them, video-check the item with you before loading, and deliver it into your room.
Do you deliver from stores?
Yes — furniture shops, DIY stores and auction houses. Give us the order or lot number and we handle the collection desk.
Is it one person or two?
Most single items are one experienced mover with kit. Pianos, American fridges, wardrobes and bad stairs get two — we say which in the quote, never on the doorstep.
Can you take the old item away?
Often, yes — a sofa swap or appliance disposal can ride the same trip. Licensed disposal is documented; ask when booking.
How fast can a single item move?
Same-week is normal, same-day is frequent. Flexible timing lets your item share a route, which is also the cheapest way to move it.
What if it doesn't fit through my door?
Tell us the item and the access and we'll assess before travelling. Feet off, arms off, sash out of a window — our movers solve most of it; hoists we arrange when genuinely needed.

Packing & protection standards
What "careful" means when we say it.
- Furniture wrapped, always. Transit blankets and stretch-wrap on every sofa, table and wardrobe — before it leaves the room.
- Mattresses and bedding bagged. Sealed protective covers keep beds clean from door to door.
- Fragiles double-boxed. Glassware, ceramics and artwork packed in double-walled boxes with paper wrap — never loose.
- Floors and frames protected. Runners on carpets, padding on door frames and banisters at both properties.
- Loaded like it matters. Heavy at the base, strapped in tiers, nothing resting on anything it shouldn't. Loading is a skill and we treat it as one.

Access & parking

Every quote includes a parking and access plan: where the vehicle stops, how far the carry is, whether a smaller shuttle van makes sense for a tight lane or a private road. We ask about it at survey because it's the single most common thing other quotes ignore — and the most common source of "extras" on someone else's invoice.

The day before
Pack an essentials box — kettle, chargers, medication, kids' favourites — and defrost the freezer.
Moving morning
Strip beds, keep documents and keys on you (not in the van), and walk the crew round the home.
At the new place
Direct boxes by room label, check the inventory with the crew, then find the kettle first.
